Roadblock! Kristie's Challenge #6

This challenge was required to be completed by one of us. I have more time this week, so I offered. I do know that my teammate is going to do one also when she gets a chance, she just has a really crazy week this week. We needed to scraplift a layout from our teammate, by flipping their layout and then rotating it 45 degrees, using the results as our sketch with the same number of elements...no more...no less.

Journaling:
You were so excited to get to meet your little brother. The two of you just stared at each other. I’m sure you had no clue what a little brother meant, nor he a big sister, but I am sure he was the beginning of your fascination with babies.

Lynn's ADSR #5

Journaling:

Should I really miss something I never had to begin with?
This question has weighed on my mind for the past
almost eleven years.
I found my biological parents in 1998, my biological mother in May and she helped me
find
my biological father in July. While my biological mother and I developed a some-
what strained friendship which
over time grew, my biological father “allowed” me to meet
him in person one time. He claimed at our meeting
that he wanted to be part of my life.
Telephone calls were awkward with weird silences or one of us talking
nervously so as to
end the silence. Letters and cards were never exchanged. Deep down, my biological father’s
lack of interest somehow got interpreted as lack of love. I find myself
wondering if he loves me. I can think
of a lot of reasons why he should, but none of
those thought up reasons will ever out-speak his actions, or
lack thereof. I have only
my memory of our one meeting. I don’t even really remember what he looked like. I
remember his step-daughter meeting us in the drive-way to tell me her children had the chicken pox and we might
not want to stay. My son developed the chicken
pox exactly 21 days later. That is really the most vivid memory
I have of that day. I wish I had just one photo of him. Instead, I have emptiness.

Kristie's ADSR #5

It has been almost 11 years since you went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, just a few months before Steve and I were to be married. I am sure you knew what a strong influence you had in my life. I loved you for it very much, even if I was not smart enough to show you the way I should have. I wish some days that I could still call and talk with you, but I am very grateful for the time that the Lord did give us together, and will always treasure my memories...

Kristie's ADSR #4

Journaling: Family has always been special for me, but even more precious to me is my husband and children. The Lord my God brought you to me, and gave us two beautiful children. My heart and soul, the reason I keep putting one foot forward everyday, I hope you know how much I Love You!

Lynn's ADSR #4

Took me forever and a day (it seems) to finish Challenge #4 of the ADSR!

Journaling:

Benjamin, my darling baby boy...
How do I express in words
the joy
you bring into my life.
The happiness
you bring into my day.
Each and every day
when you are in my arms
all is right with the world.
Peace, happiness, and well-being
are my wishes for you.
May you grow in
Love
for family,
for God,
and for Life.
I want you to know
God has sent
his angels
to guard you,
to guide you,
and
to lead
you
on the
path to
Heaven.

Word Art: He shall give his Angels charge over you,
to keep you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11

ADSR Challenge 2 - Complete

Journaling:

We are two moms from Michigan, so the snow is going to come. It is just a matter of when and how much. This means the children won’t be able to play outdoors. When the snow gets thick, we get silly. We do almost everything together as though we lived next door, but we are three hours apart. Thank heaven for unlimited long distance service. We scrap together. We clean together. Our children make us bonkers together. We do what we can to keep each other sane until the Cabin Fever breaks and we can once again send the children OUTSIDE! Ahhh, Spring!
